Standing on the Side of Love

The state of North Carolina has just disappointed me. 
A friend wrote:
"This is a sad night for our state. I feel sure that in time we will look back and realize, as happened with Jim Crow laws, that all Americans deserve to live their lives with equal dignity and equality."

    Also felt sad when I heard the news tonight. I do not live in NC, but feel strongly that everyone deserves the same rights.
    I wonder how many in NC looked beyond the gay side of this and realized the law will now apply to anyone who is not married.
